Certified Personal Trainer since 2015. I've helped several clients get off Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, and Arthritis medication. One clients doctor told her she would always need to take medication for her autoimmune disease and she was able to get off her medication with my Nutrition Coaching and Personal Training. I've helped dozens of clients reach their weight loss goals for weddings, vacations, and improved health and confidence. You can't out train a bad diet which is why I obtained an Advanced Nutrition Certification.
Life Coach since 2019. I've helped clients quit smoking marijuana, vaping, codependent and unhealthy relationships while helping them find healthy replacements. I've helped parents improve their relationships with their children. I've helped dozens of young adults find discipline and motivation at school and sports to improve grades and sports performance. I've helped adults regain their motivation to become more productive and live a healthy enjoyable lifestyle. I like to think of myself as a Health & Confidence Coach.
Soccer Coach since 2002. I've coached High School and Middle School boys and girls teams, and competitive boys and girls teams from Under 8 to Under 18. I owned summer soccer camps for 4 years where many players gained the confidence and training needed to make competitive teams and go on to play in college. As a private trainer I helped a female Goalie who became the Best Goalie in the State of Kentucky her Senior year. I've helped many field players become starters for their competitive and school teams and play in college.
I’m very proud to be born and raised in Louisville, KY. I’m also very proud to own and operate my own small business in Louisville while many of my competitors work for franchises or national companies. Sadly several of my competitors even misspell or mispronounce Louisville.
When I selected an entrepreneurship class in high school I never imagined I’d actually create and own several of my own small businesses one day. But in my senior year of College that’s exactly what I did. I had operated summer soccer camps in several towns all over Kentucky for four years but I was only paid as a coach. I was the reason the campers came back every year and brought more of their friends, so I started my first business in 2006 where I owned and operated full day soccer camps every summer along with Coaching seminars for recreational coaches throughout the year. Attendance at all 4 locations increased every year so I was able to employ more coaches every year.
The only summer I didn’t manage the soccer camps was the year that I traveled to Europe for professional soccer tryouts. I started my journey in the Cayman Islands where I trained with a group of Caribbean players for 2 weeks. We were managed by a FIFA agent who had developed and managed the great Caribbean soccer player John Barnes who was born in Jamaica but went on to play for England’s National team for more than 10 years. He became a star by playing for Liverpool in England in the 80’s and 90’s. So it was only fitting that we started our travels by going to Jamaica to scrimmage several amateur teams before going to Belgium to tryout for two Premier League teams, Club Brugge and Club Charleroi along with several second division teams. One owner spoke to me about coming back in about 4 months to play on trial which meant they’d pay for my room and board but not actually pay me anything until I earned a contract. Unfortunately I didn’t have the money to travel back to Europe and wanted to pursue my other passion of teaching.
So in 2007 I started using my Health & Physical Education degree while developing and Coaching the Girls and Boys Varsity programs at Spencer County High School then started the first ever boys and girls soccer teams at Spencer County Middle School. From 2008-2012 I coached a competitive high school aged girls team at Thoroughbreds Soccer Club where I helped improve their State Ranking from 27th to 5th and lead them to the US Regional Final in their senior year. As a goalie myself I provided extra training to our goalie who went on to be named the Best Goalie in the State of Kentucky. I also continued to own and operate my Soccer Business until 2012 when I was blessed with a job offer to teach Health & Physical Education at a K-12 Private School in the Cayman Islands. It was an offer I simply couldn't refuse so my newlywed wife and I moved to Paradise.
We absolutely loved the Cayman Islands. It had a very small town feel with plenty of community activity's. At one point I was playing on 5 sports teams at the same time: Premier League Soccer, Indoor Soccer, Squash, Softball, and Bowling. I started out as a goalie Coach for a Premier League team but after they saw me demonstrate several exercises for their goalies they realized I was probably a better player than the goalies they already had so I played more than half of a season with a Premier League team before I was recruited to play for a better team the next season. After 2 great years at Hope Academy's Private School for gifted and challenged students I got an offer to teach at the Cayman Islands School for students with disabilities. I taught Health & PE for 2 years to students with extreme to mild autism, down syndrome, severe physical disabilities, and even mild learning disabilities. It was the greatest challenge and the greatest joy I ever felt as a teacher.
Then in 2015 my wife gave birth to our first and only child Taylor Marie Pait. We quickly decided that we’d prefer to raise her around our families in Louisville so we moved back home in 2016. I had been providing personal training for several friends in the Cayman Islands along with a great wedding transformation and decided to start my own Personal Training business in 2015 before moving back to Louisville. I also continue to provide private soccer training to select soccer players with my uniquely designed drills and exercises you won’t find on YouTube.
For four years I was the only full time Mobile Personal Trainer in Louisville. But in 2019 my wife and I decided to move from our condo to a new house where we built an 800 square foot gym in our basement. My gym is full of cardio and strength equipment you can see in my photos.
So how did I become a Life Coach as well? I learned very quickly that my personal training clients needed more than just a workout and a cookie cutter meal plan like all my competitors were providing. So I started providing Health & Wellness Coaching to all my clients which turned into more in depth Life Coaching to help my clients identify their stressors and learn how to reduce or eliminate their stress. Then I started helping them identify and eliminate their unhealthy beliefs about their potential, their relationships, and so much more. I quickly learned that my experiences as a teacher, soccer coach, and personal trainer made me the perfect Life Coach. I have the empathy to truly understand my clients and put myself in their shoes.
